Hi guys what's good? Last Thursday we got invited to the grand re-opening of the Rotary Hotel by Sofitel in Geneva. After quite a long train ride we arrived in Geneva and made ourselves a first impression of the Hotel. The Rotary is a rather petite hotel that was built in the 1800s and has been completely renovated this year. Since the Rotary Geneva belongs to the MGallery collection of high-end Hotels it is pretty much a living heritage. The interior has been modernized to a certain point, but the architects kept a lot of artifacts from the hotel's past years, such as books, sculptures and furniture. All these antiques have been lovely integrated in the waiting and dining area which gives the hotel a modern vibe with a vintage twist. All in all the common rooms at the Rotary were beatifully reinvented and the old spirit of the hotel was definitely kept alive.
During our visit we were offered to stay in one of the Hotel's two floor suites on the top floor with a view. The room was somewhat country house style with vintage accents. After the hotel opening we spent the day exploring Geneva, which kind of reminded us of Paris with it's Architecture. Geneva is very beautiful and really great for shopping, having coffee at the promenade and of course the lake with its famous fountain (Jet d'Eau) is a must see! A special Thanks to the entire Hotel crew for making this possible and taking such good care of us!
